Come explore postures as taught by our Master Teacher and Guru, Sri Dharma Mittra in this all levels class. You'll practice asanas, as well as important breathing exercises, which are key to restoring vitality and a balanced functioning of the inner workings of the body and mind. All sessions will end with meditation and a guided deep relaxation to recharge and renew. Learn a practice supported by over 50 years of continued study, practice and teaching given to us by an illumined master.
Dharma I Yoga
Appropriate for students who are just moving up from Beginner to the Intermediate level, as well as those who have been practicing for a while & want a slower pace and or want to learn Dharma (Mittra) Yoga. The sequence will warm the body, bring flexibility to all muscles & joints, & wake up the nervous system. A gentle yet powerful series of balancing, stretching, back bending, twisting & mild inverted postures will follow. This practice ends with Deep Relaxation, breathing exercises, & concentration / meditation to remove impurities & bring a sense of well-being to the body & radiant peace to the mind.
Beginner Aerial Yoga
Using a yoga hammock, students work with gravity to explore, refine and advance traditional yoga postures both in the air and on the ground. Relax and realign the body, center the mind and uplift the spirit! All classes are beginner and no previous experience is needed.
Restorative and Therapeutic Yoga
A rejuvenating and fully supported practice using props and blankets to modify traditional yoga postures. The postures gently open the body to deep relaxation and healing, and the self reflective and supportive work that we practice, nourishes body, mind and soul, providing the environment necessary for health and deep healing for body and mind. All levels welcome.
An introduction to mindfulness meditation practices. We will use the practice to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. No experience is necessary.
A class that combines cardio, boxing and marital arts; providing a total body workout, which aims to improve strength, aerobic fitness, speed, flexibility, coordination, and balance.
A great new and trendy class inspired by exercises and movement from ballet, pilates and yoga. This class focuses on isometric strength training to achieve great results in strength, posture, muscle definition and flexibility. New this session is the addition of cardio to this class! All levels welcome!
Beginner Belly Dance
Bellydance is a low impact workout that uses Middle Eastern dance movements to increase body awareness and confidence, strengthen posture and abdominal muscles, as well as tone arms and legs in a safe, nurturing and joyful environment.

A course aimed at supporting our young women to be confident, fierce, creative, compassionate, peaceful and happy beings. We will encourage through practice, the development of self acceptance and love and connection to Self and others. We will combine yoga philosophy and practices including asana on a mat and in a hammock. The girls will be given many tools to help support them in life and have fun! No experience necessary. For girls 11-15yrs.
Pranayama + Meditation
Pranayama and meditation enhance every aspect of life. These practices of control and direction of breath(prana) help quiet the mind and prepare us for meditation, and ultimately Self-realization, where the mind rests in oneness, stillness and peace. Come learn these beautiful breathing and meditation practices as taught by our teacher and guru, Sri Dharma Mittra.
Emphasizes basic postures, breathing techniques, and relaxation. A great class for anyone new to practice or those looking to strengthen their foundation and slow down the pace of their practice. We will warm up the body, bring flexibility and strength to muscles and joints, encourage balance and focus, as well as rest and relaxation. Basic ideas in yoga philosophy are introduced.
Intro to Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga
Join us as we introduce this dynamic, physically demanding practice that synchronizes breath and movement to produce an internal heat designed to purify the body that detoxifies muscles and organs. Great for building core strength and toning the body, as well as focus and inner calm. Ashtanga Yoga was founded by K. Pattabhi Jois. Good for all levels.
Tabata is based on High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). In this 30-minute workout, you'll be pushing hard for 20 seconds with 10 seconds of rest, with exercises focusing on upper body, core, lower body and some cardio mixed in. It's a fast-paced workout you can do at any fitness level.
Potluck + Group Meditation
We have added a potluck dinner to our monthly sangha group meditation practice. This is a plant-based (vegan) potluck dinner. Please contact us ahead of time to pre-register and let us know what you plan to bring so that we can plan the dinner accordingly.
Our meditation practice will be mindfulness-based meditation in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. Sangha means "community" with common goal, vision or purpose. Our group's primary purpose is learning to live mindfully and do everything that way. We will practice seated and walking meditation as a method and include dharma discussion and sharing. This gathering is FREE of charge and is open to everyone. Please confirm with us if you plan on attending. Please bring a meditation cushion/bolster with you if you have one. We also have chairs available.
Kids Yoga Series
Combining classical yoga and mindfulness practice, your child will develop skills like self control, self care, awareness, and compassion for self and others - while having fun and staying engaged. We will help your child radiate health by becoming more calm, one-pointed, self-confident, and physically strong.
Chair Yoga Series
Chair yoga is the practice of classical yoga poses adapted for the chair. Chair yoga is for anyone interested in the many benefits of yoga without having to be on the floor. We meet at the Glens Falls Senior Center for a gentle chair yoga class which incorporates relaxing music, combined with breathing exercises, visualizations and simple seated yoga postures. This class is open to all. This class is sponsored by MVP and is FREE!
Yin Yang Workout
This class combines the strength, cardio conditioning and power from kickboxing and other sports conditioning exercises (including core and functional work emphasis) with yoga stretches and relaxation to provide flexibility, stress reduction and peace of mind.

Hatha yoga class inspired by Ashtanga Yoga and Dharma Yoga. Designed for all levels of experience. Many options and variations will be offered and each student will be encouraged to work at their own pace with loving kindness to find the perfect place in each posture for their condition.
Gentle yoga combines deep breathing with stretches and gentle yoga postures to release tension and improve relaxation, thereby reducing pain and stress. This class ends with a deep relaxation aimed to restore balance and inner peace.
The Yoga of 12-Step Recovery
Y12SR combines the practical tools of the 12-step program with the ancient wisdom of yoga. Combining the two creates a model that truly addresses addiction as the physical, mental & spiritual disease that it is. Y12SR is a 12-step based discussion and yoga practice that is open to anyone and everyone dealing with their own addictive behavior or affected by the addictive behavior of others. This is an open and inclusive group. All A's are welcome. Meetings are by donation.

This class for all levels is designed to gradually wake up the body and leave you feeling balanced, energized, and peaceful. The perfect way to start your day! Many posture variations will be given. All levels and abilities are welcome!

Yoga Nidra Deep Healing Relaxation + Manifestation is a guided restorative session aimed to help you break free from the stress of the noisy and restless world that maintains its presence in our bodies and minds at all times. This practice will allow you to take the time to let all the cells of your physical body, joints and organs de-stress and begin to find balance. This result occurs on an unconscious level as your bodily systems become healthy, balanced and refreshed.

Coming from a place of compassion and unconditional friendliness…we will explore more effective and healthier ways to look at healthy eating and living and being in this world being inspired by ancient teachings on awareness, love, non-judgement, reflection, perspective, meditation and middle path.
We will utilize modern day nutrition and the teachings of the Buddha and yoga to help support a mindful and loving way to be with our bodies and our lives. Learning that we are constantly feeding ourselves in many different ways and what that “nutrition” is shaping our existence in this life.
